Stuart Pike

Stuart Pike is a Lecturer in Political Science at the University of California, Los Angeles. He received his Ph.D. in political science at University of California, Los Angeles in 2022. His research focuses on the international security and political economy of global communications infrastructure, especially undersea cable systems. His current work explores the strategic considerations exhibited by US and Chinese undersea cable activity from both historical and contemporary perspectives. 

Previously, Stuart was a predoctoral fellow in US-Asia Grand Strategy at the University of Southern California. He holds an M.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a B.A. in History from Boston College
