Rebecca Dudley

Rebecca Dudley is an America in the World Consortium Pre-Doctoral Fellow and a Ph.D. candidate in political science at Duke University with a concentration in Security, Peace, and Conflict and a second field in Political Methodology (applied statistics). Rebecca is a Graduate Fellow for the Duke Program in American Grand Strategy and also a Hans J. Morgenthau Fellow at the Notre Dame International Security Center.

Rebecca graduated with a B.A. in international relations and French studies magna cum laude with University Honors from Brigham Young University in 2017, and she earned her master’s degree in political science from Duke University in 2020.

Her research interests focus on conflict resolution and American foreign policy, emphasizing the role of third parties in the dynamics of conflict and conflict resolution. Her dissertation exams the decision of third-party states to become diplomatically involved in a resolution process, with an emphasis on U.S. diplomatic foreign policy.
