Derick Carver

Program Coordinator

Derick Carver serves as the Program Coordinator for the America in World Consortium at the Clements Center for National Security. Derick served as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army before medically retiring due to injuries sustained while in combat. He has represented the United States as a strength athlete winning the U.S. Championship and World Championship in 2016.

Derick is currently a graduate student working towards a Masters of Global Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Austin’s Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. He assists with the Consortium’s operations focusing on logistics, media, events, and coordinating with fellows, donors and partner universities in support of leadership’s objectives.

Derick is looking forward to contributing to AWC’s mission and assisting in the development of America’s future foreign policy leaders.
