2024 Annual Workshop

On December 13th, the America in the World Consortium convened a select group of experts in Washington D.C. for an in-depth and off the record discussion on U.S. strategy in Ukraine. The war recently concluded its third year, and Ukraine’s position remains precarious. As the U.S. transitions into a new administration, it is imperative to rethink and potentially recalibrate American strategy.

This workshop featured closed-door, off-the-record discussions of the state of the war and America’s options in 2025 and beyond. The workshop included four panels, culminating in a discussion on the requirements for a lasting peace in the region. Though opinions ranged on the degree to which a lasting peace was possible, the strategic importance of U.S. support could not be overstated.
